Catherine King

Practice Leader

Executive Search Security Practice

Practice Leader, Catherine King brings a wealth of experience in executive leadership roles within the security industry in security operations, client experience and business development.  She was responsible for leading professional security experts in developing specialty markets within Commercial Real Estate, Higher Education, Healthcare and chemical/petrochemical industry sectors within the United States.   She is Allied Universal’s Sr. Vice President, Recruiting and Staffing Services division.

Ms. King also has more than 20 years experience in executive and professional placement for specialty practices including IT, engineering, legal, finance and accounting, procurement, sales and marketing in diverse business sectors.  Ms. King led a special taskforce to lead a turn-around initiative for Kelly Services UK and Ireland, providing oversight to UK Board of Directors in several business operation sectors.

Ms. King has completed the Harvard Business School Executive Education and is actively involved in the following industry associations: FBI Citizens Academy, ASIS International, REC London, National Association of Professional Background Screeners, American Society of HR Professionals, and American Staffing Association.

Julianne McEvoy

As an Executive Search Consultant, Ms. McEvoy strives to learn as much as possible about our clients’ business to gain deep insight, making it possible to identify the best candidates with both targeted competencies and personal traits.  Ms. McEvoy is dedicated to a rigorous, but engaging, screening process and will explore a candidate’s experience to understand key career successes and challenges, communicating insight on how they might handle objectives in the new role.

Using a collaborative and consultative approach with both candidates and clients, Ms. McEvoy uses great discretion with a personal touch when engaging talent, providing valuable advice and honest feedback.

Ms. McEvoy has provided strategic and tactical recruitment support within the security services industry for 8 years.  In addition to the security industry, Ms. McEvoy has recruited for B2B service industries, hospitality and staffing services. With over 20 years’ progressive experience, she has expertise in identifying world class talent in security operations, sales, business development, corporate functional areas and executive leadership.  She is skilled in using advanced sourcing techniques to attract the talent our Security clients’ needs, affecting a direct impact to the business.  She is passionate about providing superior candidate engagement throughout the search process to ensure the best match of company culture and career opportunity.

Ms. McEvoy earned her BA in Psychology from Gettysburg College.  She is an AIRS Certified Internet Recruiter, a certified trainer in DDI’s Targeted Selection, has successfully completed a number of Leadership Development Programs, as well as other coursework around consultative selling and negotiation skills.

Pamela Thompson-Finn

Ms. Thompson-Finn has more than 20 years professional search and recruitment experience within a broad-based industry scope.   As a successful entrepreneur managing her own executive search and recruitment firm for 16 years, Ms. Thompson-Finn brings not only recruitment and search expertise but a high degree of business acumen to our clients’ needs. Her personal motto in the search business has been “Your success is my success.” Her focus is to make the best placement for both the client and the candidate.  A complete understanding of the goals for both clients and candidates is critical.  Ms. Thompson-Finn provides a thorough engagement process by ensuring reliable and continuous communication using an attentive, collaborative process.

Ms. Thompson-Finn’s search expertise will benefit the AU Executive Search team with identifying and engaging top security leadership. Ms. Thompson-Finn has an impressive educational background with a Master’s of Art degree from the University of San Diego and a Bachelors’ degree from the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse, Wisconsin.  She also achieved a PHR certification.

Joshua Lipman

Joshua Lipman is a valuable Consultant to the practice, bringing extensive experience in the security services industry.  His demonstrated accomplishments over a 20 year career with Guardsmark Security Services.  His breadth of experience in security started within Human Resources projects that played a critical part in Guardsmark’s involvement with community services projects and philanthropy.   Following the acquisition of Guardsmark with Universal, Mr. Lipman

Misty Lalonde

Research Analyst

Executive Search Security Practice

As Research Analyst, Misty Lalonde focuses on identifying and prequalifying potential candidates for the Executive Search Security Practice by building an executive talent pipeline in collaboration with the Executive Search Consultants. Ms. Lalonde is responsible for the preliminary candidate contact management plan as well as ongoing research for the team, tracking candidate pipelines, assisting in developing career histories and executive summaries.

Prior to her 3 years with Allied Universal, Ms. Lalonde has been in the Security Industry for over 20 years. Ms. Lalonde started as a Security Officer and developed her career progression in areas such as investigations, first response and management. She has worked in several prominent companies.  She has also worked in physical security roles in Canada and the United States and was often assigned directly to high profile individuals as a direct result of her superior level of service and dedication to client satisfaction. Ms. Lalonde also has 2 years’ experience as a legal researcher within a Canadian law firm.

Ms. Lalonde has had extensive medical training and was a first response medical officer as one her roles with the OLGC.  Prior to 9/11, Misty was a High Risk Events and Bomb Threat Security Trainer as a part of her role as Supervisor while with the OLGC in Windsor, Ontario. Ms. Lalonde led the team on duty during the 9/11 attacks and ran the on-site command center.

Ms. Lalonde earned her Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Boston University, BA in Honors Political Science from the University of Windsor and Associate’s degree in Law and Security Administration from St. Clair College.
